Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, known for winning Love Island in 2022, is stepping into a bold new chapter—both personally and professionally. The reality star has revealed plans to release a deeply personal memoir titled Be Your Own Best Friend, where she promises to share her true story, unfiltered.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Ekin-Su opened up about what inspired the book. “You’ll finally get to know who I really am,” she said. “I’m done hiding and lying to protect others.” The memoir will explore her experiences with bullying, the emotional pain of past relationships, and difficult childhood memories that have shaped her.

The announcement follows a cryptic Instagram teaser in which Ekin-Su posted the date “28.08.2024” several times, hinting at something big on the horizon. Now confirmed, that date marks the release of her tell-all book.

The memoir won’t just dwell on hardships—it will also offer guidance, reflections, and lessons she’s learned. Ekin revealed that the book ends with a heartfelt letter she wrote to her 10-year-old self, filled with the kind of support and wisdom she wishes she’d had growing up.

A major part of the memoir also touches on her public split from Davide Sanclimenti, her former partner and Love Island co-winner. While the two shared a fairytale victory on the show, their off-screen relationship was far from easy. Ekin-Su has admitted to feeling abandoned and heartbroken in past relationships, including this one.

Published by Little, Brown Book Group, the memoir has been described as a raw and empowering guide to life. The publisher promoted the book on Instagram, promising fans “a glimpse into the woman behind the headlines, reality TV fame, and social media filters.”

After facing criticism during her time on Celebrity Big Brother, where she was accused of being inauthentic, Ekin-Su took time off to reflect. In a recent post, she thanked her fans for standing by her, and said she’s ready to move forward—not as a TV persona, but as her authentic self.
